        摘要：The crosstalk of OXC is one of the most important factors which restrict the scale of WDM optical network. One of the methods to reduce the crosstalk of OXC is to reduce the crosstalk of the optical switch array in it. In this paper, the crosstalk of three different kinds of optical switch array were compared. Basing on the design of optical switch array, the structrue of OXC is also designed with less crosstalk. After the optimization, the crosstalk performance of OXC improves greatly, and optical network extend to a large scale.

        摘要：The case of bi directional links composed of two fibers between the network center and other nodes is researched in this paper. Firstly, the lower bound of wavelength number needed in network for both uniform and random service model are given, and then a novel heuristic wavelength algorithm based on graph theory is proposed. Finally the validity of algorithm is proved by wavelength allocation in star network.

Through simulating experiment and comparing with the traditional algorithms and GA algorithm, this class gathering method based algorithm has proved to have distinguished advantages.         摘要：As a new technology of IP over Fiber, SDL（Simple Data Link） is particularly suitable for high speed transport links because of its low implementation complexity. SDL has also been designed to facilitate OAM&P functions needed in optical packet networks including quality of service （QoS） differentiation,etc. IP QoS is the one of the core technologies of IP network. In this paper, SDL as well as two QoS models IntServ and DiffServ which were introduced by IETF are described. Finally, a QoS solution based upon SDL protocol is put forward.

        摘要：By using twisted pair/fiber media converter, the diameter of LAN can be expanded greatly, the problem of the matching of different interfaces in different LAN devices can be solved, and Ethernet signal transmitted in one transmission media can be transformed to signal in another transmission media. This paper introduces how to design and realize a 10Base T twisted pair/fiber media converter, the wavelength of which is tunable and conform to DWDM system standards for SOA is chosen as the light source. The results of experiments and the conclusions are given at the end of the paper.

        摘要：Polarization mode dispersion （PMD） has become as a critical challenge for the next generation high bit rate transmission systems. In the paper, several adaptive feedback controlling techniques in PMD compensation systems are described in detail. Their properties are analyzed and compared clearly, and the DOP measurement as a preferred method is introduced.

        摘要：When attenuation and chromatic dispersion are compensated for, polarization mode dispersion （PMD） in optical fibers is regarded as one of the dominant obstacles in optical communication systems having bit rates of 40 Gbit/s and beyond and transmission distance of several thousand kilometers. From the simulation of second order PMD in 40 Gbit/s NRZ optical communication system, we found that high order PMD in optical fibers can degrade the 1st order compensation effect severely. In this paper, we also introduce two high order PMD compensators on the basis of PMD vector and Jones matrix respectively and the two staged higher order PMD compensator using a fixed differential group delay （DGD） section followed by a variable section is preferred.

        摘要：PSS/colloidal TiO 2 films and PDDA/colloidal SiO 2 films were deposited onto optic fibers and microscopy glass slides by using the electrostatic self assembly monolayer method, and the optical properties of the resulted films were investigated. λ/4 multilayer high reflection coatings were prepared on the end faces of optic fibers by assembling λ/4 PSS/TiO 2 layers and λ/4 PSS/SiO 2 layers alternately, an obvious enhancement in the reflection was observed.
