摘要

本文讨论了掺铒光纤放大器的应用前景，介绍了掺饵光纤的放大原理。用Ｅｒ３＋离子三能级模型进行了光纤参量的优化设计，并用ＭＣＶＤ工艺制备了性能优良的掺Ｅｒ—Ａｌ光纤。

Abstract

The future of the application of erbium doped fiber amplifier is discussed. The principle of amplification by Er-doped fiber is presented. The optimum design of fiber parameters is fulfilled with the three-level energy model of Er3+ ions

and the Er-Al codoped fiber with excellent optical properties are produced by MCVD process.
