本文对集成光学技术的发展、现状进行了概括的回顾与展望。文中介绍了光波导材料与制作工艺、无源和有源集成器件及光集成在通信中的应用。

Abstract

This paper reviews the history and status quo of integrated optics technology and gives prospects for its future development. The paper also introduces the material and fabrication processes for making optical waveguides

and the applications of active and passive optical integrated devices and integrated optics in communications.
