摘要

本文根据通信网发展三个范例（FDM、STM和ATM）的提法

简要地阐明STM网的现状和异步转移模式ATM的新概念。文中着重指出SDH的持点和它在STM及ATM网中的地位。阐明了网频率和准同步运转的意义

作者希望能纠正把ADH误作PDH的错误。

Abstract

According to the wordage of network evolution of three paradigms （FDM

STM & ATM）

this paper clarifies briefly the status of STM network and the new concepts of Asynchronous Transfer Mode of ATM networ（?）. It emphatically points out the characteristics of SDH and its position in the STM & ATM networks

and specifies the significance of network frequency and plesiochronous operation

The author wishes to correct the falseness of "mistaking ADH for PDH".
