叙述 WDM在光纤传输线路中的应用

解释 WDM在光核心网中的应用

以期扩大通信网容量

适应快速增长的通信业务量的需要 .

The paper begins with describing the progress of multiplexing technology development in telecommunication lines and networks

from electrical FDM to digital TDM and recently to optical WDM. Then

it explains the application of WDM/DWDM on optical fiber transmission lines. Finally

the paper explains the application of WDM in developing new generation optical core network.
