ONU的注册是EPON系统正常运行的前提.在系统运行中新ONU自动加入或故障ONU重新加入而不影响正常运行的ONU是PON系统可扩展性好、操作维护方便的重要体现.文章分析了对ONU自动加入的基本需求

详细描述了ONU自动加入过程

并对冲突处理方法进行了分析比较.

Abstract

ONU autodiscovery is the precondition for the normal operation of an EPON system. When an EPON system is running

ONU autodiscovery makes it work that a new ONU or malfunction ONU can be registered without any disturbing to the normal ONUs in the system. This results in good scalability and convenient operation & maintenance of PON systems. In this paper

we analyze the basic requirements of ONU autodiscovery

describe the whole process of autodiscovery in details

and compare different schemes for register collision avoidance.
