Abstract

In this paper

a new SFP based on protocol 802.3ab are discussed. First

the paper described the design rules of 1000 Base-T SFP from the aspects of circuitry design

PCB design and EMC design. Following the design rules

we fabricated high performance 1000Base-T SFP which can transmit the signal of 1 000 Mbit/s over the Category 5 cable up to 180 meters in full duplex transmission mode

and has 10/100/1 000 Mbit/s adaptive ability.
