A Modified Prime-hop Code(MPC/PC) is proposed for the two-dimensional synchronous optical CDMA system. The autocorrelation and cross-correlation performances of the code words are analyzed and the Bit Error Rate(BER) and system throughput of the CDMA system studied.Compared with one-dimensional synchronous optical CDMA systems
the two-dimensional system can accommodate much more access subscribers with drastic reduction of BER and remarkable increase of system throughput.
