In view of power inefficiency and high noise vulnerability in conventional transmitted-reference UWB systems
a low complexity Dirty Template(DT) receiver is developed
which receives the demodulation signals extracted by using multiple decided received waveform of the data symbols
considerably lowering the noise level in the self-derived template waveform and improving the overall detection performance. There is little loss in energy efficiency as no-reference pilots are required. The performances of the receiver are analyzed and the theoretical deduction verified by simulation results.
