ADPCM-based study and design of synthetic voice chips are completed. The voice signals of the compressed ADPCM format are first decoded and then the decoded signals are translated into a Pulse Width Modulation(PWM) wave
directly driving the speaker to produce sounds. Compared with the traditional way of synthetic voice output by using weight current D/A conversion
the proposed approach has such advantages as small power consumption
stronger technological adaptability and stable and reliable design.
