摘要

随着光纤接入的进一步发展

xDSL向FTTx演进是必然趋势

光纤接入网络将成为城域网/SS（软交换系统）与家庭网关/IAD（综合接入设备）之间的主要载体。以太网无源光网络（EPON）作为新一代光网络接入技术

是实现FTTx的主要技术之一。文章简要介绍了EPON的系统结构和工作原理

重点论述EPON技术在电信网络中实现的方式

并指出了网络实现中存在的问题

最后

展望了EPON技术的发展前景。

Abstract

Along with the further development of fiber-optic access

it will be an inevitable trend for xDSL to evolve into FTTx and fiber access networks will become the main carriers between MAN/SS and home gateway/IAD.As a new generation optical network access technology

EPON access is one of the key techniques for realizing FTTx.This paper briefly discusses the EPON network system and its work principle

with the focus on the way of implementation of EPON technology in carrier networks

and points out the problems in this process.Finally

it predicts the prospects of the development of EPON technology.
