On account of the current social background and evolutionary tendency that the convergence of telecommunication

broadcast/television and computer networks is pushed forward

this paper presents a fiber-optic access solution appropriate for triple-play-based communities and analyzes the principle of its design and realizable functions.Simulation results show that this solution is appropriate for the triple-play access networks.
