Frequency offset estimation is one of the major modules of the receiving end in a Frequency Division Duplex-Long Term Evolution(FDD-LTE) system. This paper introduces the generation principle of the uplink channel demodulation reference signals and the way of their time-frequency location mapping. On the basis of the hardware performance estimation
it presents an implementation scheme for the Physical Uplink Shared Channel(PUSCH) frequency estimation by using the pilot-frequency-based residual frequency offset estimation algorithm. The analysis of the complexity of its implementation and the fixed-point computation errors shows that this scheme has fairly good performance and can satisfy the requirements of real-time processing.
