Moirégrating-based dual-wavelength self-seeding in F-P laser diodes
Moiré grating-based two-wavelength self-seeding of dc biased Fabry-Perot laser diode is presented to obtain an experimental scheme for beat frequency signals.Dual-wavelength self-seeding can be experimentally obtained with the Side Mode Suppression Ratio(SMSR) close to or higher than 30 dB over the wavelength range of 11.7nm
generating beat frequency signals at as high as 168 GHz.This millimeter-wave system is characteristic of simple structure and low cost.
