摘要

电力光缆的故障诊断和预警对电力调度有着巨大影响。文章在分析电力光缆故障原因及现有检测手段的基础上提出利用OTDR（光时域反射计）实现对电力光缆远程监控的方案

设计了基于OTDR的电力光缆远程监控系统

编写了上位机和下位机（即OTDR）相关软件

并进行了实验室测试。实验结果表明

该系统可实现上位机对OTDR的远程操作和双向通信

并且能够准确地进行故障检测和定位。

Abstract

Fault warning and diagnosis for electric power optical fiber cables have a tremendous impact on the power dispatch.On the basis of the analysis of the causes of cable faults and the existing detection methods

this paper proposes a scheme

in which it realizes remote monitoring for electric power optical fiber cables by using an Optical Time Domain Reflector（OTDR）.It designs an OTDR-based remote monitoring system

compiles the related software for host computer and the lower device

i.e.OTDR and then performs laboratory tests.The results indicate that this system can implement remote operation and two-way communication between the host computer and OTDR and perform accurate fault detection and location.
