All-Optical Wavelength Conversion for 224 Gbit/s Coherent OFDM Signal
With the development of high speed switching system
coherent Orthogonal-Frequency-Division-Multiplexing(OFDM)signal has been applied to All Optical Wavelength Conversion(AOWC)system. The AOWC of high speed polarization multiplexing OFDM signal based on parallel dual-pump is realized in Semiconductor Optical Amplifier(SOA).The factors that affect the wavelength conversion efficiency are analyzed theoretically in terms of the laser phase noise and the SOA injection current. When the Optical Signal to Noise Ratio(OSNR)is 18 dBm
the Bit Error Rate(BER)of the converted signal is1.3×10-4.The 224Gbit/s coherent OFDM converted signal can be achieved without crosstalk.
