Ultra-long Span Unrepeatered Fiber Optical Communication System with Nonlinear Compensation Algorithm
a bi-directional Raman amplified unrepeatered system is established
and the nonlinearity compensation algorithm is applied at the receiver side.A 300 km unrepeatered system is experimental demonstrated at 10 Gbaud/s with 16 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation(QAM)format. The simulation and experimental results show that the performance of the system can be improved by 2 dB after nonlinearity compensation. The experiment indicates that the nonlinear compensation algorithm is effective and necessary for the unrepeatered system.
