摘要

本文介绍两种光放大器（半导体行波光放大器及掺铒光纤光放大器）的原理、结构及性能。文中还述及光放大器在光纤传输系统中的应用及存在问题。另外

概述了光纤有线电视传输

从传输的观点分析了调频制和调幅制的信噪比。最后在结论中提出超长距离光纤传输使用光纤放大器中继及波分复用是目前的发展方向。

Abstract

This paper describes the principle

structure and performance of two types of optical amplifier

i.e.

travelling-wave semiconductor laser amplifier and Erbium-doped fiber amplifier

the application and problem of optical amplifier in optical fiber transmission system are also given. In addition

this paper analyses the signal-to-noise ratio for AM and FM format in TV transmission on optical fiber. Finally

the author pointed out that the trend in ultra-long distance fiber transmission is to employ optical fiber amplifier regenerator and wavelength - division multiple -xing.
