摘要

ATM可以提供两种类型的连接：永久虚电路（PVC）和交换虚电路（SVC），后者与前者相比具有很多优点。但SVC是否能被用户所接受，在很大程度上取决于其信令是否高效、灵活、可靠。本文首先介绍了用户网络接口（UNI）上建立点到点SVC的信令协议Q．2931及建立点到多点SVC的信令协议Q．2971。然后指出了现阶段SVC信令的局限性。

Abstract

ATM offers two kinds of connection

the Permanent Virtual Circuit and the Switched Virtual Circuit. The latter has an advantage over the former. But

to a great extent

whether the SVC can be accepted by users

is determined by whether the SVC signaling is efficient

flexible and reliable. The paper describes the point to point SVC signaling protocol Q. 2931 and the point to multipoint SVC signaling protocol Q. 2971 at the user network interface. Then

it lays the author’s finger on the limitation of the SVC signaling today.
