The paper is to review the recent progress of large capacity optical fiber transmission systems

based on the post deadline papers of OFC recently held in March 2001. It begins with a brief introduction. Then

the paper summarizes the technology details of 10 Tbit/s systems and 1～3 Tbit/s systems respectirely. Finally

the paper offers general comments on the progress trends of these systems for our reference.
