This paper describes a new tuning method based on the time domain analysis of responses of filter S

. This method can be used to distinguish the time domain responses originated from the resonators and coupling apertures respectively

guide the adjustment of the resonators and the coupling degree of filters

obtain required response of filters. This method can be used also to observe the mutual effect of the components inside the filters.
