Abstract

IP multimedia subsystem（IMS）

the core of NGN

and the characteristic of its architecture are first introduced and the reasons why it is applicable to the convergence of networks and services explained. Then the services offered by using its architecture and an IMS-based multiservice mobile platform are analyzed. Finally

in connection with the technical characteristics of IPTV and the problems occurring in the convergence

a scheme in which IPTV is applied on the IMS mobile platform is proposed.
