Abstract

In the evolution of the optical transport network to the packet transport network

one of the main concerns of the operators is the interworking between networks. This paper briefly introduces the architecture of the MPLS-TP packet transport network

analyses the multilayer network structure based on MPLS-TP packet transport network in the coexistence of various types of transport networks and focuses on the discussions about the implementation schemes for the interworking between MPLS-TP packet transport network and IP/MPLS network and among SDH/MSTP networks themselves.
