In high-rate data transfer networks

User Datagram Protocol（UDP） has incomparable advantages over any other data transfer protocols

but it also has the problem of poor reliability in the transfer. On the basis of analyzing in detail the characteristics of UDP

this paper improves its key technologies and designs a reliable transfer mechanism. Finally

it offers a specific method and procedure for the realization of the reliable UDP transmission by VxWorks.
