Abstract

In comprehensive consideration of such factors as the hops and length of bursting packets

a novel QoS-guaranteed Optical Burst Switching（OBS）-based data scheduling protocol named Hops-Preemptive Prioritized Just Enough Time（H-PPJET） protocol is proposed in this paper.H-PPJET is simulated in the OBS network scenario and compared with PPJET protocol. The simulation results show that the H-PPJET protocol outperforms PPJET in terms of network throughput and packet loss rate.
