In view of the limitations in current researches on traffic grooming for WDM optical networks
a multi-priority QoS supported traffic grooming algorithm is proposed and studied in this paper. On the basis of the QoS requirement of traffic flow
the priority of the traffic is classified by this algorithm and arriving connection requests are routed over the paths with the least number of hops.Simulation results show that in comparison with the existing methods
the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the blocking probability of the delay-constraint connection requests.
