For the purpose of increasing the bandwidth efficiency of the multi-user cyclic prefix convolutional spreading CS-CDMA/CP system in the condition of multi-user interference
an Iterative Partial Multi-User Detection(IPMUD) algorithm is proposed. In this paper
the influence of the detection interference of the interfering user on the desired user is explained by using the density evolution analysis approach. It can be seen from the analysis that the accuracy of the interfering user detection is essential for the desired user detection. Therefore
some modifications are made to IPMUD
e.g.: widening the detection window or abandoning the some rather bad iterative detection of the interfering users. The modified algorithm can offer better tradeoff between the system performance and detector complexity.
