摘要

如何保护现有MSTP（多业务传送平台）设备投资

实现MSTP网络向PTN（分组传送网）平滑演进

是运营商普遍关注的问题。针对这一问题

文章探讨了对现有MSTP设备进行分组化改造

将其升级为具有TDM（时分复用）与PTN双平面功能的MSTP+（增强型多业务传送平台）的技术方案

分析了双核MSTP+的系统架构及其与PTN设备的组网方案

得出的结论是双核MSTP+后向兼容PTN的混合组网方案是保护现有网络投资的最佳解决方案。

Abstract

Protection of the existing investment for Multi-Service Transport Platform（MSTP） equipment and smooth evolution from MSTP networks to Packet Transport Networks（PTN） platform are common concerns for telecom operators.In connection with this issue

this paper investigates the packetization of the existing MSTP equipment to upgrade it to an enhanced MSTP（MSTP+） with dual-plane functions of TDM and PTN

and analyzes the system architecture of dual-core MSTP+ and the scheme for its networking with PTN equipment.The conclusion is that the hybrid networking of dual-core MSTP+ backward compatible with PTN is the optimal solution to the protection of the existing network investment.
