Abstract

In connection with the node position estimation and routing control in Ad Hoc networks

this paper proposes an Optimized Link State Routing（OLSR） protocol-based integrated protocol

i.e.OLSR-Positioning（OLSR-P） protocol

which can implement routing and positioning simultaneously. This improved protocol effectively integrates routing overheads and positioning procedures and modifies the data packet structure so as to implements positioning by using the routing overheads of the original protocol. The simulation results show that the OLSR-P protocol can realize routing and positioning simultaneously and effectively control the routing overhead.
