The intelligent Optical Distribution Network（ODN）technology applies the electronic tag technology to the traditional ODN and identifies the resources at the Optical Distribution Frame（ODF）device port by using the electronic tags.This paper presents a novel electronic tag-based fiber ring technology

which is used to identify the uniqueness of fibers and has the advantages of easy reading

stability and high efficiency.The system realizes automatic fiber information storage and uploading

correct fiber-MUMM connection monitoring and fiber resource information calibration

thus solving the technical problems of intelligent ODN.
