Based on the selective infiltrated characteristics of Photonic Crystal Fiber(PCF)
a liquid crystal fiber optic voltage sensing structure with high sensitivity is designed. In the PCF
one air hole coated gold nano layer is used as a Surface Plasmon Resonance(SPR)channel
and the liquid crystal of E7 is used as a voltage sensitive medium to realize the detection of lower voltage. The Full vector finite Element Method(FEM)is used to simulate the characteristics of the sensing structure. The results show that the sensing sensitivity of the structure is up to 1.94 nm/V with a good linearity in the low voltage range of 0
