目的

光正交频分复用(OFDM)-索引调制(IM)是无线光通信(OWC)中极具潜力的传输技术。然而,现有方案高度依赖精确的信道状态信息(CSI),因此,研究无需CSI的高可靠光传输方案具有重要研究价值。
方法

文章提出了一种混合索引调制(HIM)辅助的非对称限幅光(ACO)-OFDM方案。该方案通过将差分混沌移位键控(DCSK)引入ACO-OFDM框架,并结合HIM机制设计了灵活的子载波激活模式与信息映射。此外,文章还推导了系统在大气湍流(AT)信道的理论误码率(BER),并构建了以最小化BER为目标的功率分配(PA)优化模型。
结果

理论BER与仿真结果高度吻合。引入PA策略后,系统BER性能得到有效提升,且性能增益随信息子载波数的增加而增强。与现有方案相比,文章所提系统在BER性能方面取得了更好的表现。

文章所提系统在无需CSI的条件下完成了非相干通信,并支持对子载波结构的灵活配置,为提升复杂信道环境下OWC系统的传输可靠性提供了一种有效方案。
Objective

Optical Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) with Index Modulation (IM) is a highly promising transmission technology for Optical Wireless Communication (OWC). However
existing schemes usually rely heavily on accurate Channel State Information (CSI). Therefore
investigating high-reliability optical transmission schemes without CSI holds significant research value.
Methods

This paper proposes a Hybrid Index Modulation (HIM) - aided Asymmetrically Clipped Optical OFDM (ACO-OFDM) scheme. By incorporating Differential Chaos Shift Keying (DCSK) into the ACO-OFDM framework
flexible subcarrier activation patterns and information mapping are designed based on the HIM mechanism. Furthermore
the theoretical Bit Error Rate (BER) of the system over Atmospheric Turbulence (AT) channels is derived
and a Power Allocation (PA) optimization model aimed at minimizing the BER is formulated.
Results

The theoretical BER results show excellent agreement with simulation results. With the introduction of the PA strategy
the BER performance of the system is effectively improved
and the corresponding performance gain increases with the number of information subcarriers. Compared with existing schemes
the proposed system achieves superior BER performance.
Conclusion

The proposed system achieves non-coherent transmission without requiring CSI and supports flexible subcarrier structure configuration
providing an effective solution for enhancing transmission reliability of OWC systems over complex channel environments.
