Study on Optical Communications is an academic journal sponsored by Wuhan Research Institute of Post and Telecommunications Co., Ltd., which is a State Key Laboratory of Optical Communication Technologies and Networks. The journal was founded in 1975 and is the earliest journal focusing on optical communications in China. It is indexed in Core Journals of China, China Science Core Journals Database, DOAJ, EBSCO, Ulrichsweb, ICI World of Journals and ICI Master List, OAJ. It is selected in the "High-Quality Scientific and Technological Journal Classification Catalog of the Information and Communication Field" (Tier 2), "High-Quality Scientific and Technological Journal Classification Catalog of the Electronic technology and communication technology" (Tier 3), and has won the excellent journal award of MIIT and Hubei province for many times.

 

Study on Optical Communications is a peer-reviewed journal published bimonthly on the 10th of every even month. It mainly publishes innovative research and application results in the fields of optical communications and optoelectronics, including fundamental research, applied research, theoretical and practical technologies, as well as scientific research papers in cross-disciplinary fields related to optical communications and optoelectronics. It aims to reflect the development trends, research achievements, application status, and market information in these fields in China and abroad. In addition, the journal also publishes special issues on frontier and hot topics to bridge the gap between scientific research and industry and promote the development of the optical communications industry.

Journal History:

This journal was founded in 1975, originally named "Youdian Yanjiu" (Study on Posts and Telecommunications). In 1981, the journal was officially renamed to "Study on Optical Communications".
